Force India unveiled its VJM05 2012 F1 challenger at Silverstone Thursday morning hoping that it's early bird wiil help it catch that F1 worm. It is the first time that Force India will have it's new car ready for the first test of the season.
The Mercedes-engined car features a nose design similar to that of the Ferrari reveales onthe web today and the 2012 Caterham F1 as well as an all-new side pod design in line with the new exhaust rules. FAlso new is a conventional rollover bar design.
Force India plans to challenge for the top five in the constructors' championship after ending a record sixth last year and this year Nico Hulkenberg returns to F1 with the team alongside Paul di Resta.
"I think every individual in this team has put a lot of effort into his car," di Resta pointed out. "The momentum we had at the end of last year, hopefully we've manged to carry that over but I must say it is a fine piece of art. Hopefully when it gets to track it'll be able to show what it's capable of."
