With the Geneva Motor Show fast approaching, petrol heads around the world are dying to see some of the big reveals at the show, like the new McLaren P1. We’ve seen the concept and we’ve seen the prototypes testing, but now we have these images that have just hit the net showing off the production model.
While McLaren may not have officially released them, we can see that the car in the pictures is the production version. We can tell it is the production version, and not simply images of the concept, by the new colour for starters. In addition to this, in these pictures we can see new carbon fibre air vents on both corners of the front bumper, road tyres and a tighter mesh for the rear air vent. McLaren announced all these during a private viewing of the car back in December.
As I’m sure you already know, the P1 will be powered by a 3.8-litre, twin-turbo V8 motor, backed up by an electric motor that will develop a total of 673kW and 900Nm. The McLaren will be capable of travelling roughly 10km on electric power along and should be able to sprint from 0-100km/h in under three seconds, maxing out at over 350km/h.
