Today we bring you some spy shots of the upcoming Peugeot 208 GTI, along with some new details that have emerged.
As you would expect, a more aggressive body kit, larger alloy wheels and a twin-exhaust system will distinguish the GTI model. Inside there will definitely be a few tweaks, including sporty seats and GTI badging.
As for engine details, it’s still speculation but we suspect it will come with the turbocharged 1.6-litre engine out of the Mini Cooper S, producing 135kW and 240Nm. This should get the new GTI from 0-100km/h in around seven seconds but just in case you need a little more go, a high-power version is rumoured as well, which should have 147kW.
We’re still not sure when it will launch but some people believe the launch will happen at the Geneva Motor Show.
