Today we can bring you the very first spy shots of the upcoming 2013 BMW M6 GranCoupe, which has been spotted undergoing testing in Germany.
As we’re sure you know, the GranCoupe is essentially a four-door version of the 6 Series, so the M6 GranCoupe should be identical to the coupe version, albeit with extra doors and some more space.
That means a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, however, some people believe that the M Division might try and squeeze a few more horses out of the engine, giving it a performance edge over the M5. While that has 410kW, there is speculation around that the M6 GranCoupe might go on sale packing 441kW.
Even on this prototype, you can easily see the differences between the regular version and the M version, things like its quad exhaust system, more aggressive bumpers both front and rear and larger wheels.
It’s unlikely that we will see the production version before the end of the year, as this will be the final version of the M6 line-up. Before we see this BMW will launch the M6 Coupe and convertible versions so there’s still a while to go.
