New flagship, revised, quicker, cleaner range ensures BMW X5 is ready & waiting for new rivals
The revised and more dynamic xDrive intelligent four-wheel drive system distributes torque between the front and rear axles via an electronically controlled multi-disc clutch. while Dynamic Stability Control ensures rapid, situation-related response, enhancing both driving dynamics and traction.

BMW X5 xDrive50i and the BMW X5 xDrive40d systems have undergone model-specific spring and damper adjustment modifications. The standard equipment of the new BMW X5 also includes the speed-dependent Servotronic steering assist system. Newly devised Active Steering and Adaptive Drive are optionally available.

BMW ConnectedDrive offers a multitude of driver assistance in comfort, safety and infotainment functions, while Head-up Display, Adaptive Cornering Headlights, High-Beam Assistant, Park Distance Control and reversing camera with Surround View, the functions Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, Lane Departure Warning, Speed limit Info and Side View are all available for the BMW X5.

The nip and tucked X5 is set apart by larger side air intakes and further body colour coding in the front and rear end aprons along with a reshaped rear bumper and the tailpipe surrounds. OptionalXenon lights include LED corona ring daytime running lights, while redesigned taillights bring further enhancements.

X5's already thoroughly versatile cabin now also boasts the more convenient and intuitive latest generation BMW iDrive control system. Of course the flexible luggage compartment can be extended from 620 to 1750 litres with third-row seats to accommodate up to seven persons.
